Radiasol consists of a communicating cylindrical tube exchanger that directly transfers solar radiation to the water contained within. It has unparalleled hot water production and restoration efficiency due to its unique vertical layer construction technology and thermal insulation consisting of a thermally controlled double chamber. This allows it to retain 300% more energy per m² than conventional solar thermal systems. It utilizes as an energy reserve the thermal mass of the elements from which it is made (steel of the exchanger – double glazing – contained water). Radiasol 200D, F or example, taking advantage of the thermal inertia of its 136 kg at full load, with a water capacity of only 85 lt and an area of 1.4m², it produces an average of more than 250 lt of hot water per day in summer, 150/200 lt in spring/autumn, and 100/150 lt in winter.
The model code number (150D – 200D – 250D – 300D) refers to the annual average daily production expressed in liters at a temperature of 45°C. RADIASOL does not work according to the liters of water contained, but to the thermal inertia and efficiency of the system at full load (see full load weight in the tables below). The heat output data shown refer to tests conducted in climate zone “E” with an average of 220 sunny days per year.

RADIASOL is set up for the insertion of the very low-power electric heating element with thermostat (20 to 80 watts depending on the model), which has two functions: 1) Heats the volume of air between the exchanger and the insulating glass unit, keeping solar energy within the system in both daytime heating and night-time holding phase increasing performance especially in the cold season; 2) Avoids condensation on the glass for maximum absorption of solar radiation.
